Learning Resources
Though AIDCI is primarily committed to focusing on the human rights violations of the 1962 internment rather than the Sino-Indian war itself, we find it helpful to include resources for those interested in reading more about the history of the border conflict, its impact on the Chinese-Indian community, and implications for government and democracy.

This creative, living project documents and tells the story of the Indian-Chinese community through short films, photos, food blogs, and community-led storytelling.
Created by Aileen Chen, Iram Ghufran, Jennifer Liang, Jenny Pinto, Koel Chatterjee, Lawrence Liang, and our long-time friend, Vidura Jang Bahadur.
Following the history of Chinese migration to India, this documentary draws on the historical, political, and economic perspectives and memories of local Chinese-Indians. Spanning a 200-year period that examines the Chinese community's positionality during British colonization, independence, the Sino-Indian border conflict, and the years thereafter, the film also peers at community relationships with citizenship, national identity, and cultural hybridity.
Directed by Julian Lee and produced by Shefong Chung
